The history of the Cradle washable diaper

Discover how the Berceau washable diaper was born, the result of the experience of several committed mothers. Between everyday challenges, the search for sustainable solutions, and the desire to simplify families' lives, this lovingly crafted innovation is much more than a diaper: it's a concrete response to the needs of babies and parents.

Our story

At Ma Boule De Couches, the creation of the Berceau diaper is not simply the result of an idea:

It is the culmination of a collective adventure, marked by exchanges, trials, errors and above all a common desire to create a washable diaper that truly meets the needs of parents and children.

The adventure begins

  • 2024

A major step forward, the official release of the Berceau V1 on the market.

  • 2025

Continuous improvement, integration of user feedback with version 2.

The picky one

The Washing Optimizer

Elise

Nurse and mother of five, and a fan of cloth diapers for 6 and a half years. Élise has been a valuable ally in the development of the Berceau diaper. Thanks to her expertise in washing routines, she helped us design easy-care and durable fabrics. She also tested the EVO prototype on her newborn baby, sharing essential feedback to adjust our models to toddlers, so we created the newborn.

Creator of Flexinest

Jessica

Responsible for quality, hygiene, safety and the environment, Jessica contributed with an expert eye and a keen sense of detail. She didn't hesitate to tease me about my ideas for flexinest and adult diapers: "you've got me all worked up with that!" Her project quickly joined the management of Ma'boule de couches.

The architect of fit

Cynthia

An experienced childcare worker, Cynthia is well aware of the challenges that early childhood professionals face on a daily basis. During her discussions with the Ma Boule De Couches team, she stressed the importance of making diapers more practical to handle, especially for those working in daycare centers, where every minute counts. Cynthia insisted on adding Velcro to diapers.

The Toddler Expert

Clarisse

Mother of Edmond and Diane, Clarisse is a childcare educator and nursery director. Her experience in the early childhood field allowed her to propose a key improvement: elastics that act as an additional barrier by absorbing, without being surrounded by PUL. An idea that has considerably reinforced the efficiency and comfort of the prototypes.

The Exception

Morgane

Customer advisor and mother of Bleuenn (3 and a half years old) and Eileen (13 months old), Morgane highlighted a key problem: the marks left by the elastics. Her suggestion for improvement made it possible to avoid this inconvenience.

Lucie

Lucie, mother of Kamille and Liv, made a valuable contribution by adjusting the size of the opening of the Crib after testing the first prototype. With her rigor and involvement, she also conducted tests on the capillarity of a liquid passing through an elastic and then PUL. These tests made it possible to define the best method for sewing the elastic. A choice ally for refining every detail efficiently!
